To support her family, Handler began to work as an actor. Handler began performing stand-up comedy full-time after she turned 21. She realized she is gifted at story telling. Handler made her debut on her role on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Poorly the reality series that featured an in-camera hidden camera and a practical comedy. Between 2002 and 2005, the show was aired. The host then appeared in several other shows like Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler is also an anchor for The Tonight Show. Handler had her biggest break in 2006, when she was named host on E! Named The Chelsea Handler show. The show lasted 2 seasons.
