Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium in her various races at the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
