Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made her skills, she placed second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school education and was signed to a pro-contract with Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in her respective events.
